BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Hospital is purchasing land for future development. The BCH Board of Trustees approved the purchase at today’s board meeting.
“This is the logical next step as we plan for the future of Boone County Hospital,” said Mikaela Kienitz, BCH CEO. “We’re purchasing this land as we plan for the future of our facilities and hospital campus. Boone County is growing, and healthcare is evolving. This land enables us to meet the needs of tomorrow’s patients.”
Earlier this year, the assignment of a land option along Highway 30 by Boone County Economic Growth Corporation to Boone County Hospital was approved. BCH is now exercising the option and purchasing the land.
The BCH Board of Trustees has not made any decisions regarding how the land will be developed. While the details of the land’s future development are still being determined, the BCH team is excited by the opportunities this land presents.
“While we don’t have firm plans yet, we’re glad to take this next step toward the future,” said Kienitz. “Throughout time, we’ve taken steps to grow and evolve to meet the needs of Boone County. We’re looking forward to sharing more in the future.”
Details about potential developments for the purchased land will be shared at a later date. For more information on BCH, visit BooneHospital.com.
