BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s assistance on a potential animal neglect case with the discovery of an animal crate found while investigating an illegal dumping complaint in the 16-hundred area of 315th Street near Madrid. The Sheriff’s Department has posted the information on their Facebook page.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking information regarding a potential animal neglect case and illegal dumping case.
The pictured animal crate was found dumped in the 1600 block of 315th St. near the dead end close to the river. Evidence leading to the potential of an animal neglect case was also located with the crate.
