Boone girls lose at Fort Dodge

The Boone girls’ basketball team suffered its first loss of the season as it fell to Fort Dodge, 47-41, on Tuesday, December 3.

The Boone girls’ basketball team suffered its first loss of the season as it fell to Fort Dodge, 47-41, on Tuesday, December 3. 

Sydney Adams led the Toreadors with 19 points on 9 field goals and 1 free throw. 

Shannon Jenkins followed with 7 points on 2 field goals, 1 3-pointer and 1 free throw. 

Addie Tungesvik recorded 3 assists while Adams and Macy Chesnut had 2 each. 

For the defense, Brooke Weisbrod had 5 rebounds and 1 steal while Jenkins had 5 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal.  

The loss drops Boone to 3-1 on the season. 

Next week, the Toreadors travel to Huxley to face Ballard on Tuesday, December 10, at 6 p.m. 

KWBG will cover the game on AM 1590, FM 101.5 and kwbglive.com with sports director Ryan Wendt on the call.
