
The Boone girls’ soccer team earned a 3–0 road victory over Carroll on Tuesday, April 28, in a Raccoon River Conference matchup at Carroll Athletic Stadium while the boys lost to Carroll at home.
The girls broke through early with a goal in the first half to take a 1–0 advantage at the break.
The Toreadors added two goals after halftime to put the match away.
Emma Thomas led the Boone offense, scoring two goals on the night.
With the win, Boone improves to 2–3–2 on the season, while Carroll falls to 2–8.
The Toreadors will face a tough test next as they travel to Nevada for a non‑conference matchup against No. 14‑ranked Nevada on Monday, May 4.
Boys’ match: Carroll 4, Boone 0
The Boone boys’ soccer team hosted Carroll Tuesday night at Goeppinger Field in a Raccoon River Conference contest but fell 4–0.
Carroll scored once in the first half to take a 1–0 lead before pulling away with three second‑half goals.
Goalkeeper Lincoln Buchwald finished with 14 saves, allowing four goals, for a 77.8 save percentage on the night.
Carroll improves to 6–3–1 with the victory, while Boone moves to 0–11 on the season.
The Boone boys will look to bounce back Friday, May 1, when they host Creston (3–5) at Goeppinger Field.
