
The Boone girls’ tennis team swept St. Edmond Monday, August 31, in a dual meet at Fort Dodge.
Leading the way, No. 1 singles player Maiya Phanchantraurai won 8-0 while No. 2 Kaylee Kuehl also posted an 8-0 victory.
Livi Schneider won 8-0 at No. 3 singles while Claire Hardinger also won her match 8-0 at No. 4.
Olivia Conlin earned an 8-0 win at No. 5, and Harper Kuehl completed the singles sweep with an 8-0 victory at No. 6.
“Our perfect singles scores, without dropping a game against a 5-0 St. Edmond team, was a nice accomplishment,” said head coach Shawn Latimer.
In doubles competition, the No. 1 team of Phanchantraurai and Kaylee Kuehl rolled to an 8-0 win.
At No. 2 doubles, Rozzie Stevenson and Michaella Anderson earned an 8-3 victory, while the No. 3 pairing of Halle Bailey and Sarah Owen secured an 8-4 win.

Boone (6-1) travels to Marshalltown this morning to play Marshalltown (4-3) and Des Moines Hoover (1-6).
