The Boone Municipal Band will resume its summer concerts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at Herman Park Pavilion in Boone.
The band is excited to continue its partnership with the Ericson Public Library again and will perform a kids’ concert on Wednesday, June 10, with a “scary” theme.
The Boone Big Band will perform Wednesday, June 24, and a patriotic concert will be held on Saturday, July 4, followed by the City of Boone fireworks.
The Boone band will host the 34th annual Iowa Municipal Band Festival at the pavilion from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 11.
Nine bands from across Iowa will play a concert at the top of the hour, small groups will perform in between the bands, and Boone will play the final concert of the festival at 6 p.m.
In addition, Boone Municipal Band concerts will be rebroadcast at 11 a.m. Sundays, May 31-July 21, on KWBG, FM 101.5, AM 1590 and will stream on kwbglive.com
