Mark Schneider, Executive Director, Iowa Arboretum and Gardens talks about a very busy 2023 at the Iowa Arboretum and Gardens. He updates what’s happening the “Treehouse Village Project” and what remains to be completed. He talks about the condition of the grounds, and the number of events and activities that have taken place and are being planned. Memberships are still an important part of the operation and now is the time to show that support and support for their capital projects. Aired Friday, December 15, 2023

Many Helping Hands Projects were completed in Boone, Green and Guthrie Counties. He also talks about returning to building a home in 2024, in Ogden with a new partner family. At the same time, there is still a great need to continue Helping Hands Projects. Aired Thursday, December 14, 2023

She also notes projections on deliveries continue to climb. Kienitz also talks about physician recruitment and noted board approval of contracts with new physicians in 2024. Board will determine how to fill the vacancy. District working on calendar for next school year. Very little flexibility. Public Hearing on calendar in January. Aired Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

The Council for the second time approved a resolution to sell about 15-acres of land along South Marion Street for the Kate's Landing residential development. The action corrected some changes originally approved in March. The Mayor also talked about the Council's goal setting meeting set for Tuesday evening.
