BOONE, Iowa—The Memorial Day holiday is approaching and already many are beginning to put flowers and displays at many local cemeteries. The Boone Park Commission does have some set rules for flowers at grave sites at the Linwood Park Cemetery during Memorial Day. Flowers may be displayed beginning Wednesday, May 20th and staff will begin removing flowers that are not in permanent vases on June 1st. The specific rule is available on the city’s website.
