BOONE, Iowa—Boone Public Works has announced that a portion of West 2nd Street in the 300-block will be closed to traffic for a couple of weeks due to the work being done in connection with the Destiny Homes Development in the old trailer court property. For home owners, driveways are expected to remain open. Destiny Homes is proceeding with a residential development project at 332 West 2nd Street. The development calls for as many as 17 new homes to be constructed on the property. The work will also include some utility infrastructure for water, sewer, storm sewer and a street.
West 2nd Street is expected to be closed Tuesday for two-weeks, weather permitting.
