
DES MOINES, Iowa—Abnormally dry conditions in Iowa improved last week. The Weekly Drought Monitor Map shows improvement in the Northeast part of the state. Locally, Boone County remains in Abnormally Dry condition. The percentage of actual Moderate Drought remained low at 2.6%. On June 2nd, Abnormally Dry conditions covered nearly 70% of the state. This week is dropped to just over 58%.
