
Greene County rallied for a narrow victory Thursday, July 2, slipping past Ogden, 7-6, in a non-conference softball matchup at Ogden High School.
Grace Christensen collected three hits while scoring two runs.
She also drove in a run and added a stolen base.
Adi Banks hit a double, finishing with a hit, a run scored and two RBIs.
Aubrey Leonard scored twice and added a hit, while Sarah Seligman contributed a hit and crossed the plate once.
Clara Kruse and Lauren Mathews each recorded a hit for the Bulldogs, and Harleigh Janssen added an RBI.
Katie Wilcoxson went the distance for Ogden, striking out two batters in the complete-game effort.
The loss dropped Ogden to 20-16 on the season, while Greene County improved to 14-11.
Ogden opens Class 2A Region 1 tournament action on Wednesday, July 8, when it hosts Madrid (19-15) in a regional quarterfinal.
First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Ogden High School.
