LaVonne Lois Hagen, 96, Ogden, Iowa

OGDEN, Iowa—LaVonne Lois Hagen, 96, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at the Hearth Stone Memory Care Unit of the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone, Iowa.

A funeral service for LaVonne will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ogden, Iowa, with Pastor Kimberly Belken officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. A visitation will be held before the service at the church on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden has been entrusted with arrangements. LaVonne was born on January 3, 1930, at Ida Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Ira and Florence (Pfeiffer) Hartong. LaVonne graduated from Sutherland High School in 1948.

On July 26, 1954, LaVonne married Paul Otis Hagen of Paullina, Iowa. Two children were born to this union- Steven Paul and Cynthia Jane. LaVonne and Paul resided in Boone and moved to Ogden in 1956. They moved to their own farm, seven miles south of Ogden, in 1958.

Survivors include her son, Steven (Connie) of Ogden, IA; daughter, Cynthia (Marc) of Saugus, CA; four grandchildren, Treston, Tansie, Ashley, and Amber; eight great-grandchildren; and her twin sister, LaDonna Pauling of Issaquah, WA.

In addition to her parents, LaVonne was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul. LaVonne and Paul were long-time members of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ogden, Iowa.

Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
