
The Madrid girls’ golf team wrapped up its season competing in a Class 2A sectional meet on Friday, May 15, at the Jewell Country Club hosted by South Hamilton.
As a team, Madrid did not post an official team score, competing alongside a field led by Beaman-Conrad-Liscomb/Union-Whitten (381) and South Hamilton (403).
Panorama (433), Colfax-Mingo (453), and Baxter (454) rounded out the scoring teams.
Ashlyn Burkhart paced Madrid with a round of 104, finishing 12th overall.
Abby Williams carded a 109, finishing in a three-way tie for 15th.
Quinnly Svaleson rounded out Madrid’s scoring with a 151, placing 34th.
Gracie Andrews of BCLUW earning medalist honors with a 91, just one stroke ahead of Panorama’s Anabel Pudenz (92).

Burkhart led the team in several key categories this year, including 9-hole low (49), 9-hole average (50.50), 18-hole low (100) and 18-hole average (101.33).
