Officer received a call of a black lab running at large at the stoplight at Highway 17 and 210. Officer saw the dog who ran Southbound. Officer was unable to locate it after it fled. Officer will issue a warrant for the animal for fleeing and arrested if the officer can locate him/her.
Officer removed debris from the roadway on Union Street, to clear the roadway and make it safe.
Officer was contacted by the Park Board in reference to a license plate being located in a garbage. Officer contacted the owner and worked out pick up.
Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue and Boone County Ambulance with a medical call at the Cedars.
Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue with a house fire near Luther, Officer remained on scene until appropriate number of staff arrived and were able to put out the fire.

Officer assisted a citizen with the process for obtaining fingerprints for the purpose of new employment.
Officer was flagged down and advised that juveniles have been causing problems at Meadow Estates and getting into cars. Advised reporting party to keep vehicles secure and valuable items out of view/access. Reporting party was also advised that officers would step up the patrol in the area, especially at night.
Officer was called to the 300 block of 4th Street on a dispute over trespass. The officer advised the caller and contracting company that the issue was ultimately civil and that further decision making regarding the process would need to be handled through the correct channels.
Officer was contacted via city phone regarding a now adult male who was acting a bit unstable at the high school. Officer arrived at school and made contact with the individual and established positive rapport, continuing to deescalate the situation until such time as the individual’s parent was able to show up and transport them home.
Officer assisted additional citizen with the process for obtaining fingerprints for the purpose of new employment.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Robin Lane, for a report of a unwanted guest attempting to make entry into the residence. After investigation it was determined the male lived at the residence but had been told by his mother, he was not welcome. Also, a sibling was inside the residence and expressed fear of the male trying to enter. Officer talked with all parties involved and had everyone agree to an acceptable solution.
Officer performed a traffic stop at Highway 210 and Countyline Road.

Officer responded to the 300 block of South Madison for a parking complaint. Officer was able to contact the owner to have it moved.
Officer responded to the 300 block of East North Street, for a report of a person knocking on the door of a residence with a gun in his hand. Officer was able to determine that the person went to the wrong residence. Subject was bringing a firearm to a residence to have it worked on. There is no threat to the residents in the area.

Officer received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 17 northbound from Polk County. Officer located the driver/vehicle in the 600 block of Maverick Lane. Driver was a third shift worker and was tired.
Officer responded to the 800 block Robin Lane, on a report of a possible burglary. When officer arrived, there was a group of juveniles that were just evicted from the residence, by the Sheriff’s Office. They were told to leave and if they returned, they would be charged with Trespass. Once they left the juvenile’s property, they walked down the street to where their 18-year-old brother was and told them that they were told to leave so he then walked to the residence and up to the front door. Subject admitted that he came up to the residence because his sister told him that “the cop” made them leave. Subject was detained. I contacted the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and confirmed that they had served the WRIT earlier in the day and all parties were advised that they no longer had access or right to the property. All of their property was removed from the residence by the Sheriff’s Office. Subject was cited for Trespass.

Officer assisted with a medical call on Maverick Lane. Officer stood by until rescue and ambulance could respond.
Officer assisted with a medical call at the Cedars.
Officer spoke with a concerned citizen reference garbage being left in the right of way on East 8th Street. It was determined that the items were from two evictions the day prior and the owners have 24 hours to remove or they will be collected by sanitation.
Officer responded to the city hall reference a golden retriever found in the county and dropped off. The officer recognized the dog and contacted the rural Madrid resident. They promptly came in to collect the fluffers.
Officer stopped a subject in the Casey’s lot after they were seen getting into a vehicle with a registration sticker from the year 2000 and a farm use front plate. The subject, a 16-year-old on her way to school, could not provide current registration or any insurance for the truck. The officer had her call her mom to inform her the reason of the stop. The officer followed her home and instructed her not to drive the farm truck to school again.
Officer was advised of a vehicle with mechanical issues on 2nd Street. Owners of the vehicle were able to move the vehicle so it was no longer in traffic, they had a arranged a tow for the vehicle to come the next day.
Officer performed several traffic stops throughout the city.
Officer unlocked a vehicle at the Flat Tire Lounge.
Officer issued an expired registration warning to a subject.

Officer unlocked a vehicle on East 2nd Street.
Officer took a call reference trespassing on North State Street. It was determined that a neighbor went around a fence line to look at a go cart. Officer advised the subject to respect property boundaries and properly ask the owner in the future.
A good Samaritan turned in a wallet found at Edgewood Park. Officer tried the address found in the wallet but no one was home, will try again tomorrow.
Officer took a report of two dogs at large near Edgewood Park. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate.
Officer took a report of a loud vehicle near Main and 7th Street. Officer located the vehicle, the sports car did have an aftermarket exhaust, but was not unreasonably loud during officer observation.

Officer responded to the 600 block of Maverick Lane, for a welfare check on children that were believe to be home alone. When officer arrived, spoke with the mother of the children who was home with them and everyone was okay.
Officer served a Trespass Notification on a juvenile in the 100 block of North Market, notifying them that they were trespassed from Meadow Estates in Madrid.
