Heavy equipment work has been happening at the McHose Pond in McHose Park to make it useful to more residents. In 2017, the city dedicated grant funds to several city parks projects. The City has fixed drainage issues, cleaned out silt and will be restocking of new game fish in partnership with the Iowa DNR.
