Midland Power Members Re-elect Four Directors

KWBG 06/26/26

BOONE, Iowa—Midland Power Cooperative members reelected four incumbent directors last night at the co-op’s annual meeting held in Jefferson.

In district 1, Director Paul Heineman was reelected after running unopposed; in district 2, Director Doug Robey defeated challenger Jeremy Davis; in district 3, Director Mike Coleman defeated challenger Jeremy Ricklefs; and in district 4, Director Paul Skartvedt defeated challenger Michael Thomas.

Following the annual meeting, the board of directors held its organizational meeting to select officers for the year.

  • Mike Coleman, district 3, will continue to serve as president
  • Rick Thompson, district 3, will continue to serve as vice president
  • Randy Christensen, district 1, will continue to serve as secretary
  • Kim Rinker, district 1, will continue to serve as treasurer
  • Joel Skow, district 3, will continue to serve as assistant secretary and assistant treasurer

“Democratic member control is one of the seven cooperative principles,” said Midland Power CEO Bill McKim. “As a member-owned electric cooperative, our members play an important role in helping set the co-op’s direction. We rely on members to elect directors to represent them and establish the co-op’s policies and priorities. We thank the more than 1,200 member-owners who voted in this year’s board election for making their voices heard.”

Midland Power Cooperative’s board is composed of 12 directors, with three directors representing each of the co-op’s four districts. Directors serve three-year terms. More information about the Midland Power board and districts is available at MidlandPower.coop/Board.
