BOONE, Iowa—The operator of a motorcycle involved in an accident in Boone County Saturday afternoon as died as a result of his injuries. 54-year old Kenneth Hostetler of Jefferson was operating the motorcycle that was crossing US Highway 30 at “L” Avenue about 3:30 Saturday afternoon when he collided with a westbound vehicle operated by 52-year old Christopher Bryant of Boone. Hostetler was ejected from his motorcycle as was a passenger, 56-year old Susan Sherlock of Jefferson. Hostetler was flown from the scene to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines where he died as a result of his injuries. Sherlock remains hospitalized in Des Moines. There’s been no update on her condition. Bryant did complain of injuries at the scene but was not transported.
