
The Ogden girls’ track and field team finished second Friday, May 8, at the Ogden Co‑Ed Relays.
Madrid won the meet with 157 points while Ogden was second in the team standings with 116 points.
Relay events
The Bulldogs earned a first-place finish in the 4×400-meter relay with Sophie Seligman, Layla Wells, Dakota Jones and Trinity Stoneburner, who crossed the line in 4:31.43.
Ogden also claimed gold in the sprint medley relay as Aubrey Leonard, Grace Christensen, Seligman and Stoneburner combined for a winning time of 1:58.99.
The Bulldogs had a second-place finish in the shuttle hurdle relay with Alena Wilson, Leonard, Madysen Benjamin and Paysen Graden.
Ogden finished second in the 4×100-meter relay in 54.12 with Leonard, Christensen, Graden and Benjamin and also was second in 4×200-meter relay with Leonard, Seligman, Christensen and Stoneburner in 1:55.31.
Individual events
Dakota Jones finished runner-up in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.24, while Layla Wells finished fourth in 1:11:53.
Alena Wilson earned second place in the 100 hurdles in 16.26, and Benjamin was sixth in 17.33.
Ella Anderson was second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:18.21.
Alauna Wells placed third in the 800-meter run in 3:04.71 while Elyse Fisher earned a first-place finish in the 3000-meter run with a time of 13:03.98.
Benjamin placed third in the high jump by clearing 4 feet, 10 inches, while Wilson added a third-place finish in the long jump with her jump of 15-03.00.
Gretta Gannon and Janna Jacobsen finished sixth and seventh in the shot put with throws of 29-05.75 and 29-00.25, respectively.
