Ogden golf sweeps home triangular

The Ogden golf teams swept the team titles in a triangular held Monday, April 13 at Don Williams Golf Course. 

Girls golf 

The Ogden girls claimed first place with a team score of 213, finishing ahead of Van Meter (228) and Adair‑Casey/Guthrie Center (246). 

Olivia Coleman posted the low score of the day for the Bulldogs with a 48, while Lydia Longhorn and Clara Cruse each followed with steady rounds of 51.  

Maddie Elliss added a 63, Evie Ulrich carded a 69, and Sawyer Curry finished with a 75. 

The Bulldogs will be back in action quickly, traveling today, to face North Polk at the Tournament Club of Iowa. 

Boys’ golf 

The Ogden boys matched the girls’ success, winning the triangular with a team score of 162, edging Van Meter (167) and finishing well ahead of Adair‑Casey/Guthrie Center (215). 

The Bulldogs were led by Jase Benbow, who posted a team‑low 39.  

Jase Coleman, Decon Mitchels, and Hunter Mitchels each carded 41s.  

Colson Carson and Kegan Ristvedt rounded out the scoring with matching rounds of 48.

The Ogden boys will return to competition Saturday, April 18, at the Ram Invitational held at The Hill Golf Course in Jefferson.
