BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Chamber of Commerce has a record number of businesses and groups planning on taking part in the Annual Downtown Trunk or Treat, beginning at 5:00 Thursday afternoon. There’s some rain in the forecast so timing will be important. Story Street will be closed during the event and will actually close earlier in the afternoon so participants can set up. The 7th and 8th Street intersections will also be closed. Drivers are cautioned to be on the look out for children walking to and from the downtown to adjacent parking locations.
