Primary Ballot for County Candidates Set

KWBG 03/29/18

BOONE, Iowa—The deadline to submit petitions and paperwork to be on the Boone County Primary Election ballot was Wednesday at 5:00 pm.  There will be at least one contested race on the Republican ballot and that will be in the race for Boone County Treasurer.  Lauren Novak and Kimberly Rinker have both entered the race for the Republican nomination.  Kris Ann Hickle is the lone candidate on the Democratic ballot.  Current Treasurer, Darcy Bosch is not seeking re-election.

There will be a contested race in the General Election for County Attorney.  Dan Kolacia has filed for the Democratic nomination and Stephen J. Swanson is seeking the Republican nomination.  They faced each other in the General Election four-years ago.

Steve Duffy is the only candidate to submit petitions to be on the ballot for Supervisor.  He is again seeking the Democratic nomination.

Chris Duncan is the only candidate to enter the race for Boone County Recorder.  She is seeking the Democratic nomination.  Veronica Nystrom is not seeking re-election.

The Primary Election will be held June 5th.
