BOONE, Iowa—Site preparation began over the weekend for the new Scooter’s location in Boone at the corner of Story Street and Mamie Eisenhower Avenue. The Scooter’s site plan was approved by the Boone City Council at their regular meeting last Monday. Scooter’s Coffee Kiosk will be served by a drive-thru window and will have no inside service. Working with Boone Planning and Zoning and city staff, Scooters made adjustments in the site plan to meet city concerns about access and construction materials. A definite opening date has not been announced at this time.
