KWBG 04/23/20

DES MOINES, Iowa—Governor Kim Reynolds announced during Thursday’s press conference that over 121,000 Iowans had completed the initial assessment that part of the Test Iowa initiative.  However, many that were hoping to be tested were probably disappointed that the first testing opportunity was already booked up.  Reynolds did say that testing will continue to expand.

The assessment and more information on the Test Iowa Initiative is available at testiowa.com

As of Wednesday morning, the Iowa Department of Public Health had reported that four of the six positive COVID -19 cases in Boone County had already recovered.  There was no indication that the two remaining were being hospitalized.  The Iowa Department of Public Health reported that 205 tests had been done in Boone County.  The low number of tests reflects the low number of test kits available.
