BOONE, Iowa—Republican Phil Thompson will be replacing Chip Baltimore of Boone as the State House Representative for District 47, covering Greene County and the western half of Boone County. Thompson picked up 55% of the vote in Greene County with 2,244 votes to 1,696 votes for David Weaver and 86 votes for Libertarian candidate Patrick Shaw.
In Boone County, Thompson had 50% of the vote, or 4,607 votes to Weaver’s 4,265 votes. Shaw received 334 votes in Boone County.
Elections results are unofficial until canvased by the respective Boards of Supervisors.
