Van Sickle performs well at ISU Indoor meet

The Ogden boys’ track team competed at the IATC Indoor meet at the Lied Recreation Athletic Center on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames on Thursday.

The Ogden boys’ track team competed at the IATC Indoor meet at the Lied Recreation Athletic Center on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames on Thursday. 

Brady Van Sickle again led the way with a 10th place finish in the 800-meter run in 2:09.84. 

He was also a part of the 4×400 meter relay which finished 17th in 3:47.37 and the distance medley relay which finished 18th in 3:54.39. 

The 4×400 was made up of Braden Miller, Carson Muggenberg, Van Sickle and Weston Sundell while the distance medley was comprised of Jude Kilth, Tyler Lass, Braden Miller and Van Sickle. 

Treyton Mitchell finished 27th in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.61, and Cayden Dudley was 30th in the shot put with a throw of 35 feet, .50 inches. 

The Bulldogs will travel to Mason City for the Riverhawk Indoor Track Invitational at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 17. 

Boone and Madrid are also expected to attend.
