The Boone girls’ wrestling team beat Fort Dodge, 41-12, and lost to Ames, 71-12, in dual meets Thursday, January 16, in Ames.
In contested matches, at 130 pounds, McKayla Silbaugh beat both her opponents.
She pinned Sarah Higgins of Ames in 3:38 and beat Tristen Holst of Fort Dodge by technical fall, 20-5.
At 190 pounds, Cadence Heggen pinned Tatum Tharp of Ames in 5:30.
