DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines is expecting another night of bitter arctic cold and a Cold Weather Advisory for portions of west/west central will be in effect from midnight tonight to 9 AM Friday. Our prolonged period of below zero wind chills are forecast to improve on Saturday. Tonight into Friday, bitter cold temperatures are expected again tonight with wind chill values of -5 to near -25F.
