Boone boys’ golf tops Ogden, I-35 in home triangular

The Boone and Ogden boys’ golf teams battled through steady rain as Boone won a triangular meet Thursday, April 9, at Cedar Pointe Golf Course.

The Boone and Ogden boys’ golf teams battled through steady rain as Boone won a triangular meet Thursday, April 9, at Cedar Pointe Golf Course.  

The Toreadors claimed the team title with a score of 157, improving to 2‑0 on the season.  

Ogden placed second at 169 to move to 1‑1, while Interstate 35 rounded out the field with a 195. 

Boone individual results

Calvin Overton led the way for Boone, earning medalist honors with a round of 37 in the wet conditions.  

Austin Maach followed closely with a 38 to finish as the meet runner‑up.  

Boone continued with Jaxon Miover and Brody McNace each carding a 41 and Mason Oostenink finishing with a 42. 

Ogden individual results

The Bulldogs were led by Hunter Mitchels, who shot a 40 to tie for fourth overall.  

Jace Coleman finished with a 44, while Coleson Carson and Keagan Ristvedt each posted rounds of 45.  

Deacon Mitchels added a 52 for the Bulldogs.

Boone will return to action Monday, April 13, traveling to Carroll for a triangular with Ballard and Carroll.  

Ogden is also back in action Monday, hosting Van Meter and Adair‑Casey/Guthrie Center in a triangular.
