Girls: Boone 2, Winterset 2
The girls earned a 2–2 tie with Winterset on Tuesday, May 6, at Goeppinger Field in Raccoon River Conference play.
Girls: Nevada 3, Boone 1
The girls opened the week with a road loss at No. 14 Nevada, falling 3–1, Monday, May 5.
Nevada built a 2–0 halftime lead before adding a goal in the second half.
Delaney Good scored Boone’s goal, finishing with one goal on two shots on goal as Whitney Chesnut recorded the assist.
Reese Majors made 11 saves while allowing three goals for a 78.6 save percentage.
Boone enters the next match with an overall record of 2–4–2, including 2–2–1 in conference play.
Up next, the girls host No. 9 Adel‑DeSoto‑Minburn (8–3–1) in another Raccoon River Conference matchup on Thursday, May 7, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. at Goeppinger Field.
Boys: Winterset 5, Boone 1
The Boone boys’ soccer team fell 5-1 at Winterset in conference play Tuesday, May 5.
Tristan Bierwagen scored Boone’s goal on his only shot of the night, posting a 100 percent shooting mark.
Lincoln Buchwald recorded 21 saves while allowing five goals, finishing with an 80.8 save percentage.
Boys: Nevada 8, Boone 0
The boys faced a difficult matchup at home against Nevada, dropping an 8–0 decision, Monday May 4 .
Nevada scored seven goals in the first half and added one more after halftime.
Buchwald made 15 saves on the night, finishing with a 65.2 save percentage.
Boone enters the next match at 0–14 on the season.
The Toreadors will travel to Adel‑DeSoto‑Minburn (3–6–3) on Thursday, May 7, for Raccoon River Conference action.
