
BOONE, Iowa—Boone County voters, like others across the state will be participating in the 2026 Primary Election Tuesday. Several have already voted early through the absentee process. Secretary of State Paul Pate has said that anyone that hasn’t returned their absentee ballot should do so at their auditor’s office by 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, when polls will close. Voting Tuesday will begin at 7:00 a.m. and people will vote at their regular polling place. Winners in contested races, with an appropriate number of votes, will be the political parties candidate in the November General election.
