
The Ogden softball team rolled to a 12-1 victory at Coon Rapids-Bayard Wednesday, June 3, in a non-conference matchup shortened to four innings by the run rule.
Ogden scored three runs in the opening inning to establish an early lead.
The Bulldogs kept the pressure on in the second, adding four more runs.
By the fourth inning, Ogden had full control, scoring five additional runs to put the game out of reach.
Coon Rapids-Bayard broke through for its lone run in the third inning but couldn’t keep pace with Ogden.
Aubrey Leonard collected two hits, scored twice, and stole four bases.
Grace Christensen added two hits, three runs scored, and an RBI.
Adi Banks ripped two doubles and drove in three runs.
Harleigh Janssen knocked in three runs on one hit.
Clara Kruse allowed just one run while striking out four batters over four innings and turned in a complete-game performance.
With the win, Ogden improves to 6–6 on the season, and Coon Rapids-Bayard drops to 1–4.
The Bulldogs will hit the road tonight against No. 8 Pleasantville in a West Central Activities Conference doubleheader.
