BOONE, Iowa—Albert “Dean” Miller, 84, of Boone, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, at his home. Cremation has taken place.
A Graveside Service, with a time to share stories, will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 1726 L. Ave, Boone.
Dean was born October 1, 1941, in Peru, Iowa, the son of Albert Theodore and Grace Pearl (Dailey) Miller. He worked for and retired from Duncan Heating and Plumbing in Boone. Dean loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dwayne Miller; three brothers and four sisters.
Dean is survived by his daughter, Julie Miller Thomas of Ames; his son, Darryl Miller of Boone; two grandchildren, Justin Dean Miller of Boone and Nicole (Austin) Larson of Boone; great-grandson, Liem Larson of Boone; three sisters, Mary Duncan of Boone, Judy Ball of Reed Springs, MO and Barbara (Jim) Lemke of Ames.
