
The Boone boys’ soccer team dropped a home match to Creston on Friday, May 1, falling 7–1 at Goeppinger Field.
Creston controlled the pace early, scoring four goals in the first half to take a lead into the break.
The Panthers added three more goals in the second half, while Boone was able to break through after halftime.
Boone’s goal came from Cole Plymesser who converted his only shot of the match.
Plymesser finished the night with one goal on one shot on goal, posting a perfect 100 percent shooting percentage.
Boone did not record an assist on the goal.
Goalkeeper Lincoln Buchwald made 15 saves on the night while allowing seven goals, finishing with a 68.2 save percentage.
The loss dropped Boone to 0–12 on the season, while Creston improved to 4–5 overall.
The Toreadors return to action tonight hosting Nevada at Goeppinger Field.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m., with Nevada entering the match at 7–3 on the season.
