
Bodie Brogden won the 110-meter hurdles as the Boone boys’ track team finished sixth at the South Hardin Invitational Friday, May 1.
Host South Hardin won the meet with 158 points while Boone scored 54.5 points.
Hurdle events
Boone’s top performance of the night came in the 110-meter hurdles, where Brogden claimed first place in 15.97.
Additionally, the shuttle hurdle relay of Brogden, Brenden Hedrick, Issac McCloud and Jaydon Clark finished second in 1:07.00.
Clark finished third in the 400‑meter hurdles in 59.78, and Marcus Cook was sixth in 1:08.10.
Field events
In the shot put, Slayde Lee finished fourth with a throw of 44-00.25 and Ali Albattat placed fifth with a mark of 40‑5.75.
Albattat also had a fifth‑place finish in the discus with a throw of 119-02.
Dom Nordin placed fourth in the long jump with a jump of 17-09.25, and Henry Wright was fifth with a jump of 17-02.00.
Sprint events
McCloud finished fifth in the 400-meter dash in 57.65 while Clark placed fifth in the 100-meter dash in 11.73
Max McLaughlin placed sixth in the 400 in 58.63 and also was sixth in the 200-meter dash in 24.77.
Relay events
The sprint medley relay of RJ Lennon, Ryan Bowers, Trig Nystrom and George Grote placed third in 1:45.11.
The distance medley relay of Caler McClain, Lennon, Nystrom and Cook finished fifth in 4:22.92.
The Toreadors placed fifth in the 4×200 relay with Bowers, Cooper Flaherty, Levi Spoora and Bentley Stolte in 1:44.09.
The 4×100-meter relay of McClain, Bowers, Flaherty and Stolte placed sixth in 48.98.
