The Boone girls’ tennis team cruised to a 10-1 victory over North Polk Tuesday, August 25, at McHose Park.

“It was a great team win over an undefeated North Polk team,” head coach Shawn Latimer said.

At No. 1 singles, Maiya Phanchantraurai won 6-0, 6-0.

Kaylee Kuehl earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2, while Livi Schneider posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3.

The dominance continued down the lineup as Claire Hardinger won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4 singles, Olivia Conlin was victorious 6-0, 6-4 at No. 5, and Harper Kuehl earned a 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 6.

In doubles play, Phanchantraurai and Hardinger teamed up for a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1.

The No. 2 team of Kaylee Kuehl and Schneider rolled to a 6-2, 6-0 victory, while Conlin and Harper Kuehl claimed a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles.

The No. 4 doubles pairing of Rozzie Stevenson and Michaella Anderson added another point with a 6-3, 6-0 decision.

North Polk’s lone win came at No. 5 doubles where Halle Bailey and Sara Owen were defeated 7-5, 6-2.

Complete results were previously posted to kwbg.com.

“I was impressed at how fresh we looked even though we have been extremely busy with meets and invites over the past 7 days,” Latimer said.

The Toreadors will host Waukee (1-3) Thursday, August 27, at 2:30 p.m. at McHose Park.
