
The Boone boys’ soccer team ran into an unbeaten Gilbert squad Tuesday, April 21, falling 10–0 in a Raccoon River Conference matchup at Gilbert.
Boone goalkeeper Lincoln Buchwald recorded 12 saves and finished the night with 10 goals allowed and a 54.5 percent save percentage.
Boone dropped to 0‑7 on the season, while Gilbert improved to 5‑0.
The boys will return home to host Bondurant‑Farrar (4‑1‑2) in another conference match Friday, April 24, at 5:30 p.m. at Goeppinger Field.
Girls game: No. 13 Gilbert 6, Boone 0
The Boone girls’ soccer team also faced a tough test against No. 13 Gilbert, dropping a 6–0 decision in Raccoon River Conference play Tuesday, April 21, at Goeppinger Field.
With the loss, Boone moved to 1‑2‑2, while Gilbert remained unbeaten at 3‑0‑2.
The girls will hit the road next, traveling to face No. 12 Bondurant‑Farrar in conference action Friday, April 24.
