
The throwers for the Boone boys’ and girls’ track and field teams competed Monday , April 13, at the Bill Miller Invitational at Van Meter Stadium in Van Meter.
In the girls’ events, Boone was led by Jennifer LaMar, who placed second in the shot put with a throw of 37 feet, 7¾ inches.
Maleah Shivers added a fifth‑place finish in the shot at 35‑09.75.
Bradie Bruck (26 feet, ¾ inches) also competed in shot put.
LaMar also finished second in the discus with a throw of 98‑11.
Bruck (68‑08) and Piper Duncan (49‑09) also competed in discus.
On the boys side, Jude Baumgardner placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 46‑08.75, while Javier Casiano followed closely in eighth at 44‑06.50.
Baumgardner finished third in the discus with a throw of 147‑07.
Caden Sprecher placed fifth at 133‑10, and Lee followed just behind at 131‑10.

The girls are schedules to compete at the Madrid Invitational tonight, and the boys are scheduled to compete at the Iowa Falls Invite.
