With us on coaches corner KWBG get a chance to talk some matter of volleyball today as I had a vial joining us the Tigers boy busy week for matter Of course they had two matches on a Monday and then had a couple of more last night And he got the best of Boone County on Thursday boy. You like some volleyball this week Tigers have been busy Yeah, I mean we've been super busy. Luckily our travel hasn't been far just to augment Monday and then home the last two days But I mean, it's kind of nice to play a lot of volleyball instead of sitting around And I know that practice is important Hannah, so don't get me wrong when I say this But man, sometimes it's just nice to get out there and hit against somebody else too, isn't it? Oh Yeah, especially, you know when you're scrimmage in the same teams at practice and you try to move things around It's nice to get people who don't know you or different looks. Yeah, I think that always feels good, too So let's start with Monday first because you went over to Ogden and I had another close one with the Bulldogs I kind of feel like you guys are pretty evenly matched when it looks at the the scores so far this season as well as the one down at To ACGC last week got a nice win then against Collins Maxwell and Pleasantville We know has been very good this year, so that wasn't a huge shock, but how did you think you played overall on Monday? I? Think we prayed I played well You know especially to turn around and have that many games back to back I thought we did a great job moving on to the next ball and get ready for the next game and just Being aggressive. I think for that one set with Pleasantville that was 2325. We were down Quite a lot and then to fight back their set points and then to get into that I was super happy with that momentum and it's fun to play Ogden. They're a great team So I think we get better every time we do Well last night then you had Martin st. Mary's and van meter that came to town and coach You're able to to go one-on-one on the night real nice sweep against Martin's Dale and then we know how good van meters been the last couple of years But start with Martinsdale for me a little bit coach boys sweeps feel real nice at home. Don't they oh Yeah, they do we talked a little bit before the game about serving You know aggressive serving wins the games and when we went on those runs last night to really pull out We were serving about eight times getting a couple aces getting them out of system Just so that we were able you know to take control offensively So that was huge and then you know vameter is a really great team They run a really fast offense So that was something new that pushed us last night, but I was proud of you know Just how we played against them and handling that Best of Boone County coming up tomorrow second year for that coach last year I thought a great first year event was super excited when I heard you guys had a chance to host this year Should be some great volleyball tomorrow night. Oh Yeah, absolutely. I'm super excited our JV and JV are haven't played in almost two weeks So we're ready to go just to see every team play and have a full a full night of volleyball You're gonna have a full gym too. I'm gonna guess to coach should be a great gate for you guys Yeah, I hope so. Yeah, I think we'll have some good good crowd as well All right couple girls. I wanted to talk about to hear this week coach. I the fine I got to start with her and really having a fantastic senior year. I'm not so Surprised by that, but she seems like she's kind of even elevated her play from last year to this year Yeah, so yeah last year she's set and now she's more heavily in that outside role and you know, the back row makes a big difference She's got a really nice jump serve and you know, she's just a great attacker She's not afraid to take rips on the ball and just learning those different shots. You can tell that she's more confident in That role I was gonna ask you Hannah Was that something in the offseason? Did she was she kind of excited when you guys approached her the saying listen We need more of a more of a hitter out of you this year. Oh Yeah, she's one that'll do whatever the team needs 100% but I know she loves to hit and she loves to play back row They're getting to play that middle back. I know she's pretty excited about that. Well next girl We're gonna talk about you know, I've been a fan of hers for a while first time I saw Jayla Hanson out on the court and she has just been I Kind of wish we had a couple more years with her I'm gonna be honest with you Hannah just to see where she could elevate herself But Jalis had a real nice senior year too Yeah, I mean she she's awesome blocking Getting on the ground for balls. She hustles and her hitting is just yeah, super elevated and being a leader like I think last night she had eight kills in one of the games and just To get not afraid to take swings and try different things. She's just smart with the ball Well, and she does something else too coach that we're not always excited to do. How about getting in the net? She can block a couple can't she? Oh, yes. Yes, she can She's great. She's her net play has been so really really really fun to watch Savannah Bradley was the last one I wanted to talk about cuz I wanted to give her flowers because tell you what she has been almost Automatic from the service line this year coach. What it what is elevated Savannah for you know last year when she was really good But this year my goodness. She has been fantastic at the line. I Think she's just confident. I'd say that Savannah is like my steady and consistent player, you know, you can count on her and she's just Ready to go. But yeah, I mean a big role and she just handles it So well, especially with the amount of swings, you know going up this year and how much of a load she's taking But yeah, I mean she's She's great too. I bet the teammates get excited when number six Texa steps up to serve don't they? Oh Yeah, I know it's going over Oh, that always feels good. I know for sure. All right, so and I know we talked about JV and JV are get a chance to play tomorrow night Can you kind of tell folks what what what the plan is for the schedule? Because it's gonna be early volleyball and a lot of volleyball Yeah, so we're gonna start at four. Otherwise, we would be there all night JV and JV are will play at the same time. It'll be best of three two sets or around 40 minutes And then we'll just rotate through the three games and then we'll take a quick minute to Get things ready for varsity. It'll be one net and then that's plant starts at six Well, we go at six o'clock. Well, Hannah, I'm excited to see it again.
