Ogden volleyball rallies past Panorama

After dropping the opening set, the Ogden volleyball team responded with three straight victories to defeat Panorama, 3-1, in a West Central Activities Conference match Tuesday, September 15, in Panora.

After dropping the opening set, the Ogden volleyball team responded with three straight victories to defeat Panorama, 3-1, in a West Central Activities Conference match Tuesday, September 15, in Panora. 

Panorama came out strong and claimed the first set 25-15, but the Bulldogs settled in and took control the rest of the night.  

Ogden won the next three sets 25-21, 25-19 and 25-17 to secure the conference road victory. 

Ogden’s offense was balanced throughout the match, led by Olivia Coleman with eight kills.  

Sidney Crane added six kills, while Macy Bristle finished with five kills.  

Kenzie Banks, Ella Anderson and Sydney Craighton each contributed four kills as the Bulldogs spread the attack across the front row. 

Anderson also had 25 assists. 

Defensively, Melana Sesker recorded a team-high 18 digs.  

Grace Christensen, Anderson and Coleman each added 10 digs. 

At the net, Crane was credited with one block. 

Grace Christensen led the way with four ace serves, while Anderson and Sesker each added three aces.  

Sesker was perfect on her serves, going 9-for-9.  

Paysen Grade and Bristle both finished with two aces. 

With the win, Ogden improved to 13-6 overall and 1-1 in the conference.  

Panorama fell to 3-4 overall and 3-3 in conference play. 

Ogden will return to action Thursday, September 17, when the Bulldogs travel to Madrid for the Best of Boone County Triangular, joining Boone and Madrid in the competition.
