
The Madrid baseball team fell to Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, 9-1, on the road Tuesday, June 9.
Emerson Bridgewater led the way with two hits and the Tigers’ lone run scored, while Brady Springer added two hits and drove in Madrid’s only run.
Kolbie Owens also contributed with two hits, including a double, and Cayden Loerzel chipped in a hit.
Bridgewater got the start and took the loss, striking out two batters.
Conner Pettiecord recorded three strikeouts while working out of the bullpen.
Madrid is 5-4 overall while AC/GC is 4-6 overall.
Madrid will return home tonight for a conference doubleheader against Des Moines Christian (8-5), with the first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m.
