06/08/26
Officer received a complaint of a downtown business lot that needed mowed. Officer could not locate the owner so a business card was left on his door, asking him to mow. Officer will follow-up on the complaint to make sure it’s taken care of.
Officer received a complaint of another business yard that was overgrown and animals have been seen exiting it onto neighboring property. Officer called the owner and asked them to mow.
Officer received an invoice from a vet stemming from a dog bite that occurred at Edgewood Park last week. Officer dropped off the bill to be paid at the owner’s residence.
Officer was dispatched to a medical call, in the 100 block of East 1st Street. Officer stood-by with the family until medical staff arrived.
Officer dropped off a live-trap for a Madrid resident on West 2nd Street, after a groundhog decided to make a home under his shed and do damage.
Officer was dispatched to a personal injury accident on Magnolia Road. Officer assisted the Boone County Sheriff’s Office with treating a patient and keeping the scene safe until medical and added law enforcement personal arrived on scene.
Officer responded to Madrid Home on a dispute, advising necessary parties.

Officer was called to the 700 block of South Kennedy Avenue for a possible juvenile assault. The information turned out to be past information that was already handled with the juvenile.
Officer received a complaint of an overgrown lot at 22nd and Main Street. Officer contacted the owner and asked him to send someone up to take care of the issue.

Officer received a call of an opossum in a live trap that was set the day before to catch a pesky groundhog. Officer released the animal at the river for a better living environment.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Park View Drive for an incomplete 911 call. Officer made contact with the subject who was having issues with the children’s cell phone. The phone was powered off until the parents got home and could figure out the issue.
Officer received a request to check a subject’s basement on East 8th Street. The owner stated that she was watching TV in the basement and looked up and saw something move in her ceiling. Officer located a piece of debris that was pushed around her AC lines coming into the house. Officer replaced the item to prevent drafts.
Officer received a complaint from an anonymous person advising a white Chrysler 300 had been sitting broken down on Southern Prairie Drive. Officer marked the vehicle and will check on it tomorrow. If it’s still there, Officer will have it towed.
Officers assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue and Boone County Ambulance, with a medical call at Meadow Estates 917 South Kennedy.

Officer was dispatched to an emergency medical call. Officer stayed with the patient until Boone County Ambulance arrived to take over treatment. Patient was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Officer removed several branches and debris from the roadways after the wind and rain came through.
Officer was dispatched on an incomplete 911 call in the 600 block of Brodie Lane. Officer made contact with the owner who stated it was just phone problems due to the rain.
Officer was dispatched to call the Dallas County Attorney’s Office, and speak to them on a joint case being worked.
Officer was dispatched to the Madrid Home for an incomplete 911 call. Officer made contact with a resident there who had accidentally called 911.
Officer spoke to a Madrid resident who was scammed on Telegram. A subject stated that a family member died with 44 million dollars that he would inherit and just needed to send some payments for fees. Subject sent $2500 total before coming in and checking it was a scam. Officer informed him it indeed was. Officer told him to bring in all the information that he could and that they would try and trace it but would probably come back out of country.
Officer received a call regarding two males going door to door possibly selling solar products, The caller gave his address and Officer checked that address immediately but it had been 10 minutes since the salesman left and the resident called, Officer unable to locate the two males.
Officer was dispatched to speak with a resident in the 100 block of North Market Street. Officer spoke with a mother who advised her daughter and herself got into an argument. The juvenile left to go for a walk. Juvenile was found shortly after, down on the High Trestle Trail.
Officer performed a traffic stop in the St. Malachy’s parking lot.

Officer responded to Casey’s for a two-vehicle accident. Very minimal paint scrape damage to vehicles, officer assisted in information exchange between the drivers.
Officer assisted DHS with an interview on Southern Prairie Drive.
Officer responded to a lift assist call on South Water Street.
Officer responded to the 100 block of Jonathan Drive on an agency assist.

Officer responded to the Meadow Estates Park for a report of a domestic disturbance at a trailer there. It was determined that an argument between extended family broke out at a gathering, but there was no violence involved. Officer stood by while apologies were made and the birthday party celebration recommenced.
Officer responded to the 400 block of South Main Street, on a neighborhood dispute. Both parties were advised on how to have an official survey conducted so as to determine the exact parameters of the property lines, as well as that it would also be worthwhile for each party to make a conscious effort to be more neighborly towards each other in the future.
Officer responded to the area of Sixth and State, on a report of fireworks, but were unable to locate any being set off at that time.

Officer was initially dispatched to the area north of Casey’s on Highway 17, on a report of a reckless motorcycle weaving in and out of cars and speeding. Prior to arrival, officer was disregarded, as the motorcycle was reported to have made it pretty far north of town.
