Ogden baseball earns road wins over AC/GC, Boone

The Ogden baseball team is currently 4-3 on the season earning road victories over AC/GC, Boone in the last few days. 

Ogden 5, AC/GC 2 

Ogden secured a 5–2 conference victory on the road at Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School Monday, June 1.

Treyton Mitchell had just one hit but drove in two runs. 

Mitchell also had five strikeouts in relief to earn the win. 

The Bulldogs’ starting pitcher Hunter Mitchels had seven strikeouts.  

Ogden 3, West Central Valley 2 

Back at Ogden High School, Ogden edged West Central Valley in a tightly contested 3–2 conference game Tuesday, May 26. 

CeJay Jones sparked the offense with two hits and a stolen base.  

Keagan Ristvedt recorded two hits—including a triple—and scored twice. 

Thomas Bergstrom and Carson each contributed an RBI, and Carson also scored. 

On the mound, Mitchell struck out 11 batters and securing the win.  

Ogden 6, Boone 5 

In a thrilling non-conference matchup at Memorial Park, Ogden outlasted Boone in a 6–5 battle. 

Bergstrom led the offense with two hits, both doubles, and a run scored, while Burdette added a pair of hits.  

Christian Thede chipped in with an RBI, and Carson went 1-for-3 with a run scored and drove in two runs. 

Carson struck out nine batters as the starting pitcher and earned the victory. 

Ogden faced a setback in a conference doubleheader against I-35 at home Thursday May 29. 

Game 1: Interstate 35 10, Ogden 0 

In game 1, Burdette provided one of the few highlights with a double.  

Carson struck out six but took the loss. 

Game 2: Interstate 35 2, Ogden 0 

In Game 2, the Bulldogs were held scoreless again despite a double from Carson.  

Thede had five strikeouts but was tagged with the loss. 

The Bulldogs are now 4–3 on the season. 

Ogden will have another opportunity to build momentum as they host Woodward-Granger (3–3) in a conference matchup tonight at 7 p.m. at Ogden High School.
