
The Ogden baseball team secured an 8–4 victory over Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center in a West Central Activities Conference matchup on Tuesday, June 16 at Ogden High School.
The Bulldogs struck early, scoring twice in the bottom of the first inning.
Keagan Ristvedt worked a leadoff walk and later crossed the plate on an RBI double by Colson Carson.
Treyton Mitchell followed with an RBI to bring Carson home, giving Ogden a 2–0 advantage.
Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center got on the board with a run in the top of the second, but Ogden responded in the third inning.
The Bulldogs pushed across three runs behind RBI singles from Thomas Bergstrom, Hunter Mitchels and Carson, extending their lead to 5–1.
Ogden added to its cushion in the fourth with another three-run inning.
Ristvedt, Christian Thede and Carson all scored during the rally as the Bulldogs built an 8–2 lead.
ACGC scored one run in the fourth inning and added two more in the sixth, but the Bulldogs held on to the victory.
Carson led the Bulldogs, finishing with three hits, two runs scored, and an RBI, including a first-inning double.
Mitchell also collected three hits and drove in three runs.
Ristvedt contributed two hits and crossed the plate three times, while Thede added two hits and two runs scored.
Bergstrom finished with two hits and an RBI, and Brody Burdette chipped in with a hit and a run scored.
Ogden relied on its bullpen to secure the win.
CeJay Jones earned the victory in relief, striking out three batters.
Hunter Mitchels also delivered a strong relief performance, recording three strikeouts.
With the win, Ogden improves to 10–9 overall and 7–6 in conference play.
AC/GC falls to 5–9 overall and 3-8 in the conference.
The Bulldogs will travel to Van Meter for a conference doubleheader on Thursday, June 18, with first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m.
