The Ogden boys’ cross country team finished eighth in a 13-team field Monday, September 28, as the Bulldogs hosted a meet at Don Williams Park.
Ogden scored 176 points, led by a pair of strong performances from Myles Tromblay and Bek Anderson.
Tromblay was Ogden’s top runner, placing seventh overall with a time of 17 minutes, 27.97 seconds.
Anderson was close behind, finishing 11th in 17:40.24.
Luke Fisher gave the Bulldogs a third runner inside the top 30, finishing 29th in 18:40.53.
Brody Hitsman placed 59th in 20:13.77, while Kael Anderson finished 90th in 21:30.25.
Also competing for Ogden were Asher Hoard, who placed 134th in 26:44.42; Levi Venard, who was 141st in 28:10.32; and Tyler Wilcoxson, who finished 142nd in 28:20.32.
Riverside of Oakland captured the team championship with 49 points.
Ankeny Christian Academy placed second with 76, followed by Earlham with 111, South Hamilton with 147 and Grand View Christian with 149.

Ogden will have a break before returning to competition on Thursday, October 8, when the Bulldogs travel to the Jewell Golf and Country Club for the Jim Klein Cross Country Invitational, hosted by South Hamilton.
