AMES, Iowa—The Iowa Soybean Research Center at Iowa State University welcomes Spraytec as its newest industry partner. A representative from the company will serve on the ISRC’s industry advisory council, which provides guidance on research needs and funding priorities for the center.

“Spraytec is excited to partner with the Iowa Soybean Research Center and bring our diverse portfolio to help with plant health, nutrition and application technology. Iowa has been our home in the United States since we started our operations, and we are glad to work together with a respected institution in the state,” said Renato Firmento, manager of finance and operations at Spraytec.

“We are pleased to welcome Spraytec as a partner to the ISRC, and we look forward to the unique insights they will bring to support innovative research efforts that continue to advance Iowa soybean production,” said Mark Licht, co-director of the ISRC and associate professor of agronomy at Iowa State.

“Spraytec will be a great addition to the ISRC Industry Advisory Council. We look forward to adding their perspective in identifying research that supports soybean productivity that ultimately benefits Iowa’s soybean farmers,” said Joe McClure, chief officer, Research Center for Farming Innovation for the Iowa Soybean Association and chair of the ISRC’s Industry Advisory Council.

As one of the ISRC’s industry partners, Spraytec will provide financial support to the center, which will be leveraged with soybean checkoff funds from the Iowa Soybean Association to support soybean research at the university.

The center is a formal collaboration of Iowa State’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the Iowa Soybean Association and industry partners. Together, representatives from ISA and the industry make up the ISRC’s Industry Advisory Council. Spraytec is the center’s latest industry partner, joining Ag Ingenuity Partners, AMVAC, BASF, Bayer, Beck’s, BioConnect Iowa, Corteva Agriscience, GDM, Indigo Ag, Inari, Innvictis/Simplot, Meristem Crop Performance, Merschman Seeds, Nutrien, Peterson Genetics, Syngenta, Tidal Grow and Valent.
