DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has provided updated information concerning impactful weather occurring today. Severe weather is possible, as well as heavy rainfall. Damaging winds are the primary severe threat, though large hail and a tornado or two are also possible. Flash flooding may also occur. Slight (Level 2 of 5) risk for severe weather over portions of central Iowa. A Slight (Level 2 of 5) risk for Excessive Rainfall over portions of central to eastern Iowa. Severe Weather possible 4pm to Midnight; with excessive rainfall: Tuesday evening into early Wednesday.
