Katie Darby, Tour of Homes and A Festival of Trees. The Tour of Homes in Boone County, now in it’s 6th Year continues to raise funds to support Wings of Refuge assisting women rescued from trafficking. This year an added feature, A Festival of Trees at the Iowa Arboretum. The Arboretum, also home to Tree House Village which is also expected to be decorated. John Roosa, Administrator, Boone County Landfill and Recycling, talks about the recycling efforts in Boone County. The current business recycling effort will gradually change over to focus on more cardboard recycling. Boone County Recycling now has a now truck that should prove to be more efficient and offer better opportunities to stream line services. Aired Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
