
DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has updated information concerning the following severe weather. Severe storms are possible in northern Iowa tonight. Damaging winds are the main concern, but heavy rainfall, hail and even a tornado are possible. Prolonged heat continues this week.
For the thunderstorms, they’re expected mainly over northern and north central Iowa. For the heat, mainly over central and southern Iowa. Timing for the thunderstorms, will generally occur from 10 pm to 4 am tonight. For the heat, continuing through at least Thursday.
