Eli Stines, Boone Mayor talks about the Boone City Council meeting held Monday evening. He explains the Council’s financial support for a project being headed by George Eckstein to reconstruct and place a historic steel arch in downtown Boone. Stine also talked about some planned revisions to the City Wide Clean up in June. He also talked about the selection of a firm to assist the Council in a search for a new City Administrator. Boone Area Veterans Center, Mike Gibbs and Fred Greiner are on hand to talk about the brief history of the project. Members of Boone Veteran organizations have actually talked about the idea for over ten years. Gibbs explained that once they decided to move forward they began searching for a site, working with the City and Chad Houston of Kruck Plumbing and Heating, they finally got a location.
